★★★★★

Budget was a big issue for our family. Aksira showed us Bukhara State Medical Institute which fit under 20 lakhs total. The admission process was smooth and I have been in Uzbekistan for 8 months now. Hostel is right inside campus.

★★★★★

I scored 380 in NEET and Indian private colleges were not an option financially. Aksira recommended Samarkand State Medical and the entire fee structure was transparent. No surprise costs after coming here.

★★★★★

My parents wanted to know everything before I left India. The Aksira team did a video call with our entire family and explained the curriculum, FMGE preparation, daily life. That transparency mattered.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

The same questions parents ask us on every counselling call.

Is MBBS in Uzbekistan recognised by NMC India?
Yes. The government universities we partner with — Tashkent State Medical Academy, Samarkand State Medical, Bukhara State Medical Institute, Andijan State Medical Institute and others — are listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools and recognised by the National Medical Commission of India. You become eligible for FMGE / NExT after returning to India.
What is the total cost of MBBS in Uzbekistan?
Total cost ranges between ₹18 Lakhs and ₹25 Lakhs for the full 6-year MBBS programme, including tuition, hostel and basic living expenses. This is the lowest among major MBBS abroad destinations, almost 60% cheaper than an Indian private medical college.
Do I need NEET to study MBBS in Uzbekistan?
Yes. NEET qualification is mandatory for Indian students who want to pursue MBBS abroad and practise in India later. Only the qualifying score (currently 50th percentile) is required — there is no minimum rank for Uzbek government universities.
Is MBBS in Uzbekistan taught in English?
Yes, the entire MBBS programme is delivered in English medium at all government universities we partner with. Russian or Uzbek language is taught only as a basic subject to help students interact with patients during clinical rotations.
What is the FMGE pass rate for Uzbekistan MBBS graduates?
FMGE pass rates for Uzbekistan graduates have been competitive in recent years and continue to improve as more Indian students enroll and structured coaching is added. Pass rates depend more on student preparation than the country. Aksira partners with FMGE / NExT coaching providers from the final year onwards.
Is Uzbekistan safe for Indian students?
Yes. Uzbekistan is a peaceful Central Asian country with very low crime rates and a hospitable Muslim-majority culture. Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara have growing Indian student populations. Indian food, halal options and grocery stores are widely available near university campuses.
Can I get an education loan for MBBS in Uzbekistan?
Yes. Since the total cost is lower (₹18–25 Lakhs), most nationalised banks like SBI, Bank of Baroda, PNB and Canara Bank offer education loans for MBBS in Uzbekistan, often without collateral up to ₹20 Lakhs. Aksira provides the bank letter and documentation needed.
When does the 2026 admission intake close for Uzbekistan?
Main intake is between July and September, with the academic year starting in September. Seats fill quickly because Uzbekistan has limited Indian quota per university. We recommend completing the application by mid-July to avoid visa processing delays.
