★★★★★

Russia was always my first choice because my cousin also studied here 10 years back. Aksira got me into Bashkir State and the transition was smooth. Senior Indian batch was already there to help in the first month itself.

★★★★★

My NEET score was 290 and Indian colleges were not an option. Aksira showed me Orenburg State Medical at under 24 lakhs total. Indian mess is on campus, Russian language is easy enough once you start using it daily.

★★★★★

I am in final year now preparing for FMGE. The Aksira team had connected me with FMGE coaching from 4th year itself. Most of my batch from Perm State is cracking FMGE on first attempt now.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

The same questions parents ask us on every counselling call.

Is MBBS in Russia recognised by NMC India?
Yes. The government universities we partner with — Bashkir State, Orenburg State, Kazan Federal, Perm State, Kursk State and others — are listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools and recognised by the National Medical Commission of India. You become eligible for FMGE / NExT after returning to India.
What is the total cost of MBBS in Russia?
Total cost ranges between ₹22 Lakhs and ₹32 Lakhs for the full 6-year MBBS programme, including tuition, hostel and basic living expenses. Even the top-tier universities like Kazan Federal stay well within ₹32 Lakhs total. The exact figure depends on the university you choose.
Do I need NEET to study MBBS in Russia?
Yes. NEET qualification is mandatory for Indian students who want to pursue MBBS abroad and practise in India later. Only the qualifying score (currently 50th percentile) is required — there is no minimum rank for Russian government universities.
Is MBBS in Russia taught in English?
Yes, the entire MBBS programme is delivered in English medium at the universities we recommend. Russian language is taught as a basic subject so that students can communicate with patients during clinical training, but all academic instruction stays in English.
What is the FMGE pass rate for Russia MBBS graduates?
Russia has historically been one of the most consistent performers on FMGE among MBBS abroad destinations. Pass rates vary university to university, but established universities like Bashkir State, Kazan Federal, Perm State and Volgograd State have produced strong FMGE results. Aksira partners with FMGE / NExT coaching providers from the final year onwards.
Is Russia safe for Indian students?
Yes. The university cities we recommend — Ufa, Orenburg, Kazan, Perm, Kursk, Volgograd — are well away from any border or conflict zones. Russian university cities have low street crime, established Indian student communities, Indian mess and grocery stores. The Indian Embassy in Moscow maintains regular outreach with student communities.
Can I get an education loan for MBBS in Russia?
Yes. Major nationalised banks (SBI, Bank of Baroda, PNB, Canara Bank) offer education loans for MBBS in Russia up to ₹40 Lakhs without collateral, and higher amounts with collateral. Aksira provides documentation support and bank coordination for loan processing.
When does the 2026 admission intake close for Russia?
Main intake is between July and September, with academic year starting in September. Top government universities like Kazan and Bashkir State have limited Indian quota and fill quickly. We recommend completing the application by mid-July.
